Community Guidelines

How we work together on Oldtimer Map so the platform stays useful, respectful, and trustworthy.

These guidelines apply to everyone who uses Oldtimer Map, including visitors, organizers, and contributors. By using the service, you agree to help uphold them.

Why these guidelines exist

Oldtimer Map is a place to discover and share classic car events and related information. We want enthusiasts, clubs, and organizers to feel welcome.

These rules set clear expectations. They work alongside our Terms & Conditions and other policies, which govern legal rights and obligations in more detail.

  • When in doubt, prioritize accuracy, respect, and the spirit of the classic car community.

Event listings and content

Listings should describe real events that are relevant to classic and vintage car culture (shows, meets, rallies, tours, club activities, and similar).

Keep dates, locations, and contact details accurate. Update or remove listings when plans change so others are not misled.

  • Only upload images you have the right to use and that represent the event fairly.
  • Do not post misleading, duplicate, or purely promotional spam unrelated to a genuine event.
  • Do not use listings to distribute malware, phishing, or harmful links.

Respect and inclusion

Treat other users with respect. Disagreement is fine; harassment, hate, threats, and discrimination are not.

Do not publish personal data of others without a legitimate reason (for example public organizer contact details offered for the event).

  • Avoid slurs, dehumanizing language, and targeted bullying.
  • Do not incite violence or illegal activity.

Safety and responsibility

Events are organized by third parties. Oldtimer Map provides information only; we do not run the events and cannot guarantee safety or quality.

Follow traffic laws, venue rules, and local regulations when attending or promoting events.

  • Do not encourage dangerous driving or unlawful behavior on public roads.

Reports and enforcement

If you see content that breaks these guidelines or our terms, signed-in users can report an event from its page. We review reports in a reasonable timeframe but cannot promise a specific outcome or response time.

We may remove or restrict content, accounts, or listings that violate these guidelines or the law, or that risk harm to users or the platform. We may take action without prior notice when necessary.

  • False or abusive reports may limit your ability to use reporting features.
